Day 2

Delhi - Vrindavan
(15 March 2019)

Post breakfast at the hotel, transfer for sightseeing of the city. Visit the Jama Masjid, icon of the walled city of Delhi. Drive pass the red fort of Delhi. Walk around the Chandni Chowk’s bustling bazzars. Lunch on your own. Post lunch transfer to Vrindavan by road. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3

Vrindavan - Barsana - Vrindavan
(16 March 2019)

Early breakfast at hotel. Drive to Barsana where you will witness the Lathmar Holi. Villages near Mathura - namely Barsana and Nandgaon – Holi festival is celebrated in its own unique way. A week before the actual Holi, women, adorning the role of gopis, beat up men, who dress as gops, with sticks (lath); therefore, the name: Lathmar Holi. The celebrations happen over two days. Men from Nandgaon visit Barsana; traditionally dressed with turbans and shields. After paying tributes at the Radha Rani temple, they gather on the streets to be beaten by the women (on their shields). Ballads are sung and the red powdered colour is spread all around. Later in the evening return to your hotel in Vrindavan. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Holi is perhaps the only festival in India which is celebrated through its length and breadth, with equal fervour, fun and frolic! People come out to celebrate advent of spring, with the colours of spring which are so much in abundance in India. The colours in powder form are smeared and coloured water is poured. The fiery red, burning orange and pink and yellow are the favourite colours. Also on this day, religion, caste, genders … take a back seat and enjoyment is on the forefront!!

Day 4

Vrindavan – Jaipur
(17 March 2019)

Today, we drive to Jaipur. The Pink City is the capital city of Rajasthan. Upon arrival check in at the hotel and rest. Evening visit the old city driving pass the Hawa Mahal and the Johari bazar. Time free to visit the local handicrafts shops. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5

Post breakfast in the morning, transfer to visit the Amber Fort on the outskirts of the city. Climb the fort by jeeps and visit the famous palaces of the forts. Later drive down to the city. Visit the famous jewelry shops of the city. Later in the afternoon visit the City Palace and the Observatory Jaipur. Drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight at Jaipur.

Day 6

Jaipur – Agra

Post breakfast, drive to the erstwhile Mughal capital of Agra. Upon arrival check in at the hotel and rest. Afternoon visit the world's most famous building, the Taj Mahal. Dinner and overnight stay in Agra.

Day 7

Agra – Mathura
(20 March 2019)

Breakfast at hotel. Post breakfast check out and visit the Agra fort and the Moti Mahal inside the fort. Later drive to Mathura, to participate in the main Holi celebrations. Check in at the hotel upon arrival and later visit the Dwarkadheesh temple & the Jugal Kishore temple of Mathura. Late in the evening, gather for the ceremony of Holika Dahan “burning of the holy pyre”. Holika Dahan symbolizes victory of good over evil. On this day the best way of celebrating Holi is to win over your own evil thoughts. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 8

Early Breakfast at hotel. Today is the final day of celebration and you will be taken to the main, Shri Banke Bihari Temple in the morning from where the colourful Holi will start in the morning. The celebration will spread on the streets and you will see the families, friends throwing colours, shooting coloured water with water guns on each other. Spend the whole day in capturing every moment in the streets. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 9

Mathura - Vrindavan – Delhi
(22 March 2019)

With earlier day’s fun and frolic, wake up at leisure have a leisurely breakfast and then drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival visit some of the famous iconic buildings of New Delhi. Visit the India Gate and drive pass the Parliament House and the President’s house. Later visit the Gandhi museum or the Birla House where Mahatma Gandhi lived in his last days and was assassinated. Later; early evening, visit the famous Lotus Temple. Evening time free to visit some artefacts shops to buy souvenirs from this memorable trip. A sendoff dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.
