Day 2

Delhi - Agra

Post breakfast, transfer for sightseeing of Delhi. Visit the Lotus temple and the Raj Ghat. Post lunch transfer to Agra by road. Check in at Hotel, Overnight stay at hotel. Agra In the Mid-16th century and earlier 17th century Agra witnessed a frenzied building activity and it was during this time when the symbol of love Taj Mahal was built. The buildings made during this era were purely in the contemporary Mughal style and of very high quality. The same is still which has taken Agra again to the heights of glory but this time as a major tourist destination of reflected in whatever monuments remain in Agra. The narrow lanes of Agra filled with aroma of Mughlai cuisine, the craftsmen who are busy in crating master pieces with their skill all remind of the Mughal royalty which this city had once experienced. Today whatever remains, has become a major tourist attraction India. Agra Fort .The rusty and majestic red-sandstone fort of Agra stands on the banks of the river Yamuna and the construction was started by Emperor Akbar in 1566. At the Diwan-I-Khas (hall of private audience) where marble pavilions with floral inlays lend an ethereal ambience, the Emperor sat on his gem-studded Peacock Throne and met foreign ambassadors and rulers of friendly kingdoms. Taj Mahal. The magnificent Taj Mahal is surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men labored for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife. Day 3

Agra - Jaipur

Post breakfast, visit Taj + Agra fort. Later post lunch transfer to Jaipur by road. Check in at Hotel, Later visit the Lakshmi Narayan Temple and drive around the Hawa Mahal and pink city area. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel. Jaipur the rose pink capital of Rajasthan is surrounded on all sides by rugged hills, crowned with forts. Enclosed by embattled walls, the city was built in the early eighteenth century. The Maharaja's palace stands in the center of the city amidst lovely gardens. Houses with latticed windows line the streets, their rose pink color lending enchantment to the scene and an almost magical sunset. Jaipur is aptly called the `Pink City of India'. It takes its name from the famous Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, who founded the city in 1728. A keen astronomer, he built an observatory which still exists and is equipped with quaint masonry instruments of remarkable size

Normally a fort is one massive majestic structure constructed. But Tijara has three standing structures. The beautiful Hawa Mahal, which was a common meeting place, the bold Mardana Mahal with thick walls and a combination of Afghan and Rajput architecture and the third separate structure was the Rani Mahal, which lay unfinished. Today these ruins have been transformed to a beautiful Heritage Hotel, without disturbing its main architecture.

Jaipur

Post breakfast, transfer to Amber fort. Back to hotel for lunch. Post lunch visit City palace, Hawa Mahal and Observatory. Overnight stay at the hotel. Amber Fort is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. Its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds its ultimate expression. City Palace A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh of the area in the walled city. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum. Jantar Mantar. This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. This observatory, consisting of oversized astronomical instruments, is still in use. Hawa Mahal The ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Their five-storey structures of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women.

Day 5

Jaipur - Tijara Fort Alwar

Morning drive to visit the local handicraft showrooms of Jaipur. Post lunch drive to Tijara. A fort castle turned into a palatial hotel. Upon arrival enjoy a welcome drink and check into your room. Each room is different than the other. Evening enjoy the sunset and have dinner with folk dance and local wine. After enjoyment retire to your rooms. Tijara Fort Alwar – Delhi

Post breakfast transfer to Delhi. Upon arrival lunch at local restaurant. Visit the India Gate , Rashtrapati Bhavan or President’s house. and the Parliament house. Visit the Birla temple and the Gandhi museum. Dinner at local chinese restaurant, post dinner transfer to international airport to take flight back home.
