ROOMS
KEY Hotel offers 34 elegantly appointed rooms with state of the art  technology; 31 guest rooms, 1 Executive Suite, 1 Deluxe Suite & 1 Grand Suite. Overlooking Kordon, the premenade by the bay of the city, the hotel has a prime location with 21 of its rooms either with direct or partial views of the sea.

Standard Room
Sizes varying between 26 and 40 m2 with either city or partial sea views, our standard rooms have your choice of french, twin or round beds. These rooms are equipped with flat screen IP TVs, IP Telephones, iPhone docks and complimentary internet access. There are desks with reading lamps, cotton-satin linens and rain showers in all of the rooms. The minibar, that consists of non-alcoholic beverages, as well as tea and coffee in the rooms are our compliments to you throughout your stay.

Superior Room
Sizes varying between 40 and 51 m2 with direct sea views, our superior rooms have your choice of french or twin beds, cotton-satin linens, desks with reading lamps and seperate sitting areas.  The corner rooms in this category, have a sitting section in a seperate room and these corners rooms also have a large bathroom with both a rain shower and a jakuzzi tub. These rooms are equipped with flat screen IP TVs, IP Telephones, iPhone docks and complimentary internet access. The minibar, that consists of non-alcoholic beverages, as well as tea and coffee in the rooms are our compliments to you throughout your stay.

Executive Suite
Our suite that overlooks the city hills has a French bed, cotton-satin linens, a sitting room, study desk, Blu-ray disc player, Lavazza espresso maker, a jakuzzi tub as well as a rain shower in its bathroom and measures 53 m2. The suite is equipped with two flat screen IP TVs, IP Telephones, iPhone dock and internet access. The minibar that consists of non-alcoholic beverages, hot tea and a variety of Lavazza coffee in your suite are our compliments to you throughout your stay. There is a sitting area that belongs to this suite on the terrace which is

shared with the other two suites.

Deluxe Suite
Our deluxe suite has a lovely view of the bay. It has a French bed,  and a sitting room that are both sea front. There are cotton-satin linens on your bed, study desk, Blu-ray disc player, Lavazza espresso maker, a jakuzzi tub as well as a shower in its bathroom and it measures 53 m2. Grand Suite
Our grandest suite that has spectacular views of the sunsets over the Gulf of Izmir… This exclusive suite has a French bed, cotton-satin linens, a study area that overlooks the gulf and seperate sitting and dining rooms. It is 85 m2 with a spacious bathroom that has a jakuzzi tub as well as a large rain shower overlooking the most amazing view of the city. The suite is equipped with flat screen IP TVs, IP Telephones as well as an iPhone dock and high-speed internet access. The minibar, that consists of non-alcoholic beverages, hot tea and a variety of Lavazza coffee in your suite are our compliments to you throughout your stay. There is a sitting area that belongs to the suite, outside on the terrace which is shared with the other two suites.

DINING

The ‘KEY Restaurant’ showcases international cuisine with an Aegean flair in a contemporary setting. The sunsets over the Gulf of Izmir will add to your dining pleasure while our team will make it a memorable experience. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, providing an elegant setting for business meetings and social gatherings throughout the day. A breakfast buffet features both Turkish & international offerings, while lunch and dinner offer an à la carte menu accompanied by a range of fine wines from our 250 bottle wine cellar. The well selected, wide range of local and international wines that are handpicked, reflect the finest in their class.

Adjacent to the restaurant, the ‘Lobby Bar’ is also a serene reading room complete with an array of books & magazines. You may enjoy Lavazza coffee blends here for a morning coffee with friends or a variety of cocktails & spirits after work or before dinner while you talk at leisure and unwind.

‘In-Room Dining’ is available 24 hours a day at the hotel. You will also find the menu from the KEY Restaurant in your guest room; if you prefer to dine in privacy, yet be able to taste the delicacies of the KEY Restaurant.

During the course of your stay, if you feel that you have a craving for a particular dish that is not on our menu, we will be glad to accommodate your wish. This also holds true for our ‘Meetings & Events’! Apart from our predetermined menus, if you have an entirely different theme and menu in mind, we will be more than happy to cater to your wishes. This way, you will be able to host your exclusive dinner parties and meetings in the comfort of your home but without the hassles of planning, preparing and serving, therefore enjoying them as much as a guest yourself!
MEETINGS & EVENTS
For your private and important meetings and gatherings we have several options to chose from… Furnished with style and confidence and equipped with the latest technology, these spaces are designed bearing your business and social needs in mind.

Our ‘VIP Boardroom’ that can accommodate from 2 to 22 guests is the ideal venue for business meetings and corporate dinners. This boardroom may be seperated into 3 smaller rooms which will accommodate from 2 to 6 guests each or may be used as one large room to host up to 22 guests. The meeting space is equipped with a state of the art 102 inch plasma TV and a sound system.

The tastefully decorated private extention to our seaside restaurant called ‘The Lounge’ is ready to host your intimate dinner parties and special celebrations for up to 16 guests. Apart from its dining area, The Lounge also has a sitting section adjacent to it along with a LED TV for your entertaining pleasure.

The ‘Ball Room’ is ideal for seminars, meetings and receptions and will host 150 guests in theater style and 100 guests in gala dinner style. This space is also equipped with a 102 inch plasma TV, a sound and light system that will cater to your needs. The technology in-house also allows you to be able to watch and listen to the presentation in the Ball Room from your KEY guest room, in the event that you will not be able to attend the meeting in person, therefore allowing you not to miss a beat!
ARCHITECTURE & HISTORY
The building which houses the KEY, is an award winning architectural project of 1950 which came to life in 1955 and started serving as The Central Bank of Turkish Republic, Izmir headquarters until the mid 1980s. The architectural project was unique for that time because the design team had worked with a spirit away from the traditional ways of the era in an approach that displayed a new, modern, sophisticated, young style. Today, in the archives of the Central Bank, the work and the thought that went into every little detail by the architectural trio is clearly kept. Orhan Bolak was a university lecturer while Ergun Unaran and Doğan Tekeli were his students at the time. In the later years after the project was completed, Mr. Bolak has educated many new students at university level and Mr. Tekeli and Mr. Unaran had their signatures on countless upscale and unique projects.

After 1985, the bank moved to a new location and the building was abandoned for many years until E. Özgörkey Group of companies purchased it. Being a true Izmir lover, Mr. Özgörkey wanted to have the building refurbished and the city to gain a piece of its history back. After many years of hard work, much thought, planning and investment went into the making, the building of the hotel became once again a landmark in the city just like it used to be…

The project was redesigned and refurbished; staying true to the structural formations and originality, by Mr. Derya Akdurak of Makomim, Izmir and was re-opened to serve as the home of KEY Hotel in September of 2011. The interior of the building was converted into its new function without chaging the character of the shell but forming new textures that have taken inspiration form the 40s and the 50s, after carefully studying the original drawings and details. The fixtures as well as the interior decoration were designed, taking into consideration the original character of the building and that bygone era, still bearing in mind the indulgent comfort that is demanded in today’s world.

Thinking that the majority of guests who will be staying at this historic bank building would be executives from the business world, every detail was designed around pampering them including the latest in technology.
