Day 01: Sumela Monastery, Zigana Mountain, Karaca Cave
Early morning flight to Trabzon and depart for Sumela Monastery, visit the 4th century Sumela Monastery, clings to a sheer cliff face in a deep forest, relax beside a fast flowing stream at Altindere Valley National Park. After lunch travelling along the old Silk road through the Zigana Mountains that takes us to Karaca Cave, considered the most beautiful in Turkey with its colors and formations. Return to Trabzon, dinner & overnight. L D
Day 02: Trabzon City Tour-Uzungol-Ayder
Today we explore the highlights of Trabzon, the most attractive points: 13th century Byzantine church St. Sophia Museum, Ataturk’s Mansion, Boztepe Hill, Ladies Bazaar. We depart for Uzungol, one of the most photogenic locations in the region. Having lunch at a local fish restaurant, sightseeing around the lake, through the valley and depart for Ayder. Drive through Firtina (Storm) Valley, enjoy the panorama with many waterfalls, stone bridges on Firtina Stream. Dinner & Overnight in Ayder. B L D
Day 03: Ayder-Storm Valley-Zirkale-Rize
Today we have time to explore the beautiful Alphine Plateau Ayder. Traditionally dressed village ladies, thermal spring, waterfallas dropping down from hundreds metres and beautiful plateau houses, Zirkale Castle, Konaklar and Senyuva Village are going to be of interest to you. On the way back to Trabzon Airport we have short break at Rize for panoramic view of the city at the Botanic Garden. B L
